Danish Breeding Highlights 2024, Records, Top Horses, and Exceptional Results

The Danish breeding summer of 2024 showcased the best of Icelandic horse breeding. With four major breeding shows held in Herning and Hedeland, new records were set, remarkable horses were highlighted, and breeding excellence reached new heights.
A Record-Breaking Building Score
The spotlight shone brightly on Náttfari frá Gunvarbyn during the first breeding show in Herning. He achieved a historic building score of 8.97, the highest ever awarded to a stallion in Denmark. Paired with a riding ability score of 8.68, he earned a final score of 8.79, cementing his status as an extraordinary breeding horse.
Top Performers of the Season
Dáti frá Skipaskaga (8-year-old stallion) scored 8.36 for conformation and a total of 8.19 at the second breeding show.
Tríton frá Marianesminde (6-year-old stallion) achieved a strong total score of 8.24 at Hedeland, with an excellent riding score of 8.3.
Klassi frá Slippen (5-year-old stallion) impressed in September with a conformation score of 8.24 and a final score of 8.05.

Noteworthy Offspring Shows
