Nýr Forseti og Breytt Stjórn FEIF

The FEIF General Assembly was held on January 28th, where the agenda included standard annual meeting procedures and board elections. Iceland was represented by Linda Björk Gunnlaugsdóttir, chair of LH, and Friðrik Már Sigurðsson on behalf of the Farmers’ Association of Iceland (BÍ).
Outgoing FEIF President Jean-Paul Blaz did not seek re-election after serving for two years. He was succeeded by Gundula Sharman, who was nominated by the FEIF board and supported by Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Gundula has been active in FEIF’s youth committee for years and emphasizes building a strong community and enhancing welfare for both horses and people. She aims to continue developing an international framework for breeding, sports, and education while fostering cross-border collaboration. Additionally, she believes it is time to increase FEIF’s visibility on the global stage.
