You can delete your Alendis account yourself, at any time, from inside the app or on the web. You do not need to contact us first.
How to delete your account
In the mobile app — open Account, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. You will see exactly what will be removed before anything happens, and you will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.
On the web — sign in at app.alendis.com, open your Profile, and under Account choose Delete account. The same confirmation applies.
If you cannot sign in — email customersupport@alendis.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you. We may ask you to confirm that the address is yours before we act.
What is deleted
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery period. When you delete your account, we remove:
- every video you have uploaded, and every analysis produced from it
- your horses, except any that another person still has access to — see below
- your profile, training notes, clinical notes, chat history and saved preferences
- your notifications, folders and any documents you have uploaded
- your login itself
Your videos are deleted from our video host and our file storage as well as from our database, not only from the list you can see.
What happens to your subscription
If you have an active subscription, it is cancelled immediately when you delete your account. You will not be charged again. There is no refund for the remainder of a period you have already paid for — so if you want to use the time you have paid for, delete your account at the end of that period rather than the start.
Invoices we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes are retained for as long as the law requires. They are not connected to a usable account.
What is kept, and why
A horse that someone else also has access to is not deleted. If you share a horse with a trainer, a vet, a co-owner or anyone else, that horse's records are theirs as much as yours, and deleting your account does not delete their animal's history. Your access ends; theirs continues. If you were the horse's responsible person, one of them takes that role.
Records other people wrote stay with their horse. A training session or a clinical note written on a horse that survives stays on that horse.
Where you granted someone access that is still in use, we keep a marker that the permission was granted, shown as "Deleted account". It holds no name, no email address and no photograph — nothing that identifies you. It exists so that the other person's access to their own horse still makes sense.
One thing worth knowing before you delete
If you added videos to a horse that other people share, those people can see those videos today — and deleting your account removes them for those people too. The app tells you when this applies to you, before you confirm.
If you would rather those videos stayed with the horse, ask someone else on that horse's team to upload their own copy before you delete your account.
